After sponsoring Eurovision 2024, it has been revealed that Royal Caribbean will be returning as a sponsor for Eurovision 2025, and that there will be themed sailings that will take place in Europe in May and June 2025.
Eurovision Sailings to take place
Upon the reveal that they will be returning as sponsors, Royal Caribbean has confirmed that there will be 2025 sailings, with the cruisliner explaining:
Eurovision superfans – you have a choice to make. We’re celebrating this year’s song contest and our ongoing partnership with the Eurovision Song Contest by hosting two spectacular special cruises. Join our Grand Final Viewing Party on Allure of the Seas, or relive classic Eurovision moments with our throwback sailing on Independence of the Seas. The countdown is on!
There will be three 2025 themed sailings, two of which will include a Grand Finale viewing party, and once being a ‘Throwback’ experience as follows:
- Allure of the Seas (7 Nights) Sailing from Barcelona on May 11 – Grand Finale Viewing Party
- Allure of the Seas (7 Nights) Sailing from Civitavecchia on May 15 – Grand Finale Viewing Party
- Independence of the Seas (3 Nights) Sailing from Southampton on June 18 – Eurovision Throwback
Royal Caribbean confirmed that the special silings will ofer ‘exclusive itineraries’ that promise ‘non-stop fun’, with Royal Caribbean set to be providing:
- Eurovision Welcome Cocktail
- Quizes and Karaoke
- Guest Performers
- Special Gala Dinner
- Eurovision Themed Cocktails
- Welcome Cake in Windjammer
All About Eurovision 2025
Switzerland will be hosting the 69th edition of the competition following Nemo’s historic win at Eurovision 2024 in Malmö. A few weeks after their win, Reto Peritz, and Moritz Stadler, was announced as the Executive Producers, with the other roles revealed in July 2024.
Basel, Bern & Biel/Bienne, Geneva, and Zurich submitted bids to host next year’s competition, with Basel and Geneva being shortlisted as the final two cities. After the shortlist, it was revealed that Basel will host Eurovision 2025, at St. Jakobshalle with the shows taking place on May 13, 15 and 17.
