🇦🇱 Format of Festivali i Këngës 63 revealed

With the imminent release of the entries participating at Festivali i Këngës 63, the format of this year’s festival has been revealed.

Jury & Televoting to select Albania’s representative for Basel

This year’s festival will take place at the Palace of Congresses between December 19-22. The festival would be split into four nights, with some changes taking into effect for this year’s festival.

Night 1 (December 19) & Night 2 (December 20) – 15 of the participants will be performing each night. The participating artists would be categorized as debuting and non-debuting. At the end of each night, the vote of the public and the jury would be revealed.

Night 3 (December 21) – Nostalgia Night, all of the participants will be performing. The qualifiers (a maximum of 18 participants) will be revealed.

Night 4 (December 22) – Final Night, up to 18 participants will be participating. The festival of the Jury will be awarding five prizes (first place, second place, third place, best lyrics & critics award). Albania’s representative for Eurovision 2025 will be selected via a mixture of Jury and Televote. However, the split between the two is yet to be confirmed by RTSH.

Albania’s Eurovision Journey

In 2004, Albania made their debut into the Eurovision Song Contest with Anjeza Shahini with “Image of You”, which placed 7th in the final. Since their debut, Albania has participated 20 times, and made the final 10 times. They achieved their best result in 2012, where Rona Nishliu placed 5th with “Suus”.

Besa represented Albania in 2024 with the song “Titan”. “Titan” performed in the second semi-final, where it ultimately placed fifteenth out of sixteen, receiving 14 points from the televote.
