What did some of our team members have to say about their favourite songs from Depi Evratesil 2025?

Shiloh (Wild): This is a song tailor-made for Eurovision! The instrumental contains traditional elements but is still modern and can get a crowd moving. The spoken chorus is oddly catchy and the sung portions are smooth. With the right staging, this song could go far, and has the right combination of musical elements to be even better live than in studio.

Rory (Prayer): “Prayer” offers something to really get your teeth stuck into in Armenia, as it refuses to fully conform to a normal song structure. Flora’s voice sounds really intriguing as she flows her way through the song, and the tempo slow down works really well in the last minute of the song. It’s no doubt a risk for Armenia, but playing it safe doesn’t get good results!

Kittens (Tiny Little Boo): “Tiny little boo” has that modern K-pop style sound that is just so accessible : you instantly get the point of the song, the chorus is stuck in your head, and the vocal is so sweet. Given the right staging, this could end up doing really well – and getting songs that just have that instant catchy vibe would benefit their recognisability in the main contest.

Armenia’s Eurovision Journey

In 2006, Armenia made their debut into the Eurovision Song Contest, where André represented the nation with his entry “Without Your Love”, placing 8th overall. Since their debut, Armenia has participated 16 times, 13 of which saw them make the Grand Final. Their best result, in 2008 and 2014, was 4th place; in 2008, Sirusho and “Qélé Qélé”, and in 2014, Aram MP3 with “Not Alone”.

French-Armenian band Ladaniva represented Armenia at the most recent contest, where they ultimately scored eighth in the grand final. Between the televote and the juries, “Jako” received 138 total points.
