As the songs competing for this year’s competition in Basel continue to be selected, the team at That Eurovision Site will react to the entries that will be participating at Eurovision 2025. The next entry we will react to is San Marino, which will be competing in this year’s competition with “Tutta L’Italia” by Gabry Ponte.
Our thoughts on “Tutta L’Italia”
In this series, we will provide our opinions via two methods. One of our team members will be reacting on video, which you can see below, whilst up to three members will give their written opinion on the entry. Tim will be on the main seat and will be showing his reaction to “Tutta L’Italia”
What did the other team members think of “Tutta L’Italia”?
Jonathan: Fun fact: I love this! Not for everyday listening, and it won’t last in my memory long into the year, but I really love that we get to see this onstage in May. Eurovision should not lose touch with cheese and the unexpectedness of this song is fun. It’s catchy and. But then, I once went to Italy and ate a doner pizza in a kebab shop, so this
Molly: This song is so unique and fun. It’s definitely underrated however this was a surprise hit coming out of San Marino. This song has so much energy to it that I am looking forward to seeing it on the Eurovision stage especially with what they will do with the DJ deck on the stage. There are so many things that can be done to make this song even more energetic and keep that fun vibe.
Euan: It’s just absolute trash in the best possible way. A nice little jaunty number that’s not too in your face. My biggest worry for this is that by the time you get to the last chorus it is starting to feel a tad stale and repetitive. But then again the average viewer didn’t have it seared into their soul by Rai so who knows if the general public will feel that way.

San Marino’s Eurovision Journey
As one of the smallest countries in Europe, San Marino made its debut in the competition in 2008 with Miodio and the song “Complice”. Since then they have participated in the competition 14 times, qualifying for the grand final in three. Their best result was in 2019, with Serhat and “Say Na Na Na”.
Spanish band Megara represented San Marino in 2024 with the song “11:11”. They failed to qualify from the second semifinal, placing fourteenth and receiving sixteen points from the televote.
