As the songs competing for this year’s competition in Basel continue to be selected, the team at That Eurovision Site will react to the entries that will be participating at Eurovision 2025. The next entry we will react to is Switzerland, which will be competing in this year’s competition with “Voyage” by Zoë Më.
Our thoughts on “Voyage”
In this series, we will provide our opinions via two methods. One of our team members will be reacting on video, which you can see below, whilst up to three members will give their written opinion on the entry. Tim will be on the main seat and will be showing his reaction to “Voyage”
What did the other team members think of “Voyage”?
Daniel: Just an incredibly beautiful song from start to finish. Zoë’s voice is sweet and smooth as honey, whilst the composition of the song itself is just perfect. I especially love how the song builds at the end. Instantly one of my favourites of this year and by all accounts one of my favourite ever host entries.
Molly: This song is a masterpiece and is so beautiful. Zoë’s voice helps so much to carry the dramatic yet softness of the song and bring it all together. Within the ballads category this is currently s favourite of mine, especially with how she can make such an impact musically and vocally. If the staging is focused and also has the same impact as the song I think she will do well with the jury and televote.
Rory: I adore absolutely everything from Zoë on this track. I think the beauty and the delicacy of this performance really relies on her. Yes, the song is in French, but the feeling it transmits is universal. That being said, I do worry this could get the “O jardim” treatment where it’s so quiet and understated people may forget about it. I sincerely hope not, as these songs deserve to be heard, but I’m happy to be proven wrong.

Switzerland’s Eurovision Journey
Switzerland both hosted and debuted in the inaugural Eurovision Song Contest in 1956. Their first participation was successful, as they won with Lys Assia’s “Refrain”. Since then, they have participated on 63 occasions, making the Grand Final 52 times.
Switzerland’s most recent participation saw them being represented by Nemo with their song “The Code”. Performing in the second semi-final, they qualified for the Grand Final for a fifth consecutive participation. At the end of voting in the final, it was revealed Switzerland had won the Contest. Nemo scored 365 points with the national juries, as well as 226 points with the televote. The overall winning score for “The Code” was 591 points. This win marks Switzerland’s third win in the contest following on from Lys Assia in 1956 and Celine Dion in 1988.
