As the songs competing for this year’s competition in Basel continue to be selected, the team at That Eurovision Site will react to the entries that will be participating at Eurovision 2025. The next entry we will react to is Cyprus, which will be competing in this year’s competition with “Shh” by Theo Evan.
Our thoughts on “Shh”
In this series, we will provide our opinions via two methods. One of our team members will be reacting on video, which you can see below, whilst up to three members will give their written opinion on the entry. Shiloh will be on the main seat and will be showing his reaction to “Shh”
What did the other team members think of “Shh”?
Euan: What’s great about this is that ‘Shh’ works so well for Theo, and feels very authentic to his music style. The real issue with this is while there is great production value the song does feel like it’s building to a moment that doesn’t seem to arrive in a meaningful manner, and even though it is an upbeat dancey number, it doesn’t real insist upon itself and give a lasting memory with the average viewer.
Molly: This song may be underrated but I love it. The way its able to balance the EDM elements but also showcase the artist’s talented voice is amazing. There is so much potential for things that can be done staging and, yes dance sections can be overused but here it’s integrated very well into the song and I am excited to see how they stage this song in Eurovision.
