Eurovision 2025 is just weeks away, and broadcaster SRG SSR is busy making its final preparations for the show. Now, the broadcaster has announced which acts will be performing at the special final pre-show concert at Arena+ on May 17th.

Arena+ to feature new and old acts

In a post uploaded to their social media accounts, SRG SSR revealed which acts will be performing at Arena+. These acts will help to warm up the crowd in the lead-up to the live-show on May 17th. The viewing area will be held in the St. Jakob-Park Stadium next door to the arena. In total, over 40,000 tickets have been sold for the event. As a result, this will become the largest public viewing space for Eurovision 2025.

Among the acts confirmed are Baby Lasagna (Croatia 2024), Anna Rossinelli (Switzerland 2011), Luca Hänni (Switzerland 2019) and Kate Ryan (Belgium 2006). As well as this, music will also be provided by DJ Antoine to warm the crowd up before the show officially starts at 9pm CET. The warm-up show will be hosted by Sven Épiney and Mélanie Freymond. Sven has extensive Eurovision experience, having acted as a spokesperson and a commentator for decades.

The story of Eurovision 2025 so far

Basel, Bern & Biel/Bienne, Geneva, and Zurich submitted bids to host next year’s competition, with Basel and Geneva being shortlisted as the final two cities. After the shortlist, it was revealed that Basel will host Eurovision 2025, at St. Jakobshalle with the shows taking place on May 13, 15 and 17.
