One week on from the final of the Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna, Italian broadcaster RAI has released the full breakdown of its televote.

Moldova wins both televote, RAI confirms

According to data released by RAI in the days following the final, Moldova was the clear winner of the Italian televote in both the final and in the semi-final. For the semi-final, Moldova came out on top with 31.39% of the final vote, while in the final it finished with 21.98% of the show.

Israel took second place in the semi-final according to the data, with 24.13% of the final vote going to Noam Bettan. However, in the final, Romania would come out into second place, earning 14.14%, with Israel finishing third with 11.37%. RAI has been publishing the results of its televote since 2024, and was one of several to release a full breakdown last year amid the scandal surrounding the televote.

Italy’s Eurovision journey

Italy has participated in the Eurovision Song Contest since the very beginning and have always been considered a powerhouse in the contest. The country has won the contest on three occasions in 1964, 1990 and 2021. Italy withdrew after 1997, returning again in 2011 with Raphael Gualazzi who sang โ€˜Madness Of Loveโ€™. Raphael placed second in the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest after scoring 189 points.

Italyโ€™s most recent entry in 2026 was โ€œPer sempre sรฌโ€ by Sal da Vinci. At the close of voting, Italy scored a total of 281 points in the Eurovision 2026 Grand Final, placing 5th. Of these, 134 points came from the juries, whilst the remaining 147 points came from the televote.
