Czechia’s Eurovision 2023 representatives Vesna, who placed 10th at the Contest in Liverpool, are back with a new single! The Slavic girl-group have today released their latest single “Vínečko”.
About “Vínečko”
Vesna, who placed 10th at the Song Contest in Liverpool with “My Sister’s Crown” back in 2023, have released their latest single “Vínečko”. The song is an up-beat, folk-dance track, celebrating Slavic wine culture. The track keeps the Slavic folk style Vesna are known for, while being modern electro-pop and having a catchy beat throughout.
When translated into English, “Vínečko” means ‘wine’, or ‘little wine’. The band are due to play a sold out show at the Forum Karlín in their home country of Czechia later in the year, with more dates due to be announced in future months.
The new single was written by Patricie of the band, with composition from the group as a whole. The new single comes after a string of releases, including last year’s collaboration with Latvia’s Tautumeitas.

Who are Vesna?
Vesna is a girlband made up of members from many countries, originating as a group in Czechia. The band formed in 2016 and took their name from the Slavic Goddess of spring ‘Vesna’. The group currently consists of 5 members: Patricie, Bára, Olesya, Markéta, and Tereza. The members met in Jaroslav Ježek Conservatory and formed the musical project Vesna there. The band released their first album “Pátá bohyně” in 2018, and second album “Anima” followed in 2020.
Vesna’s Eurovision history
In 2023, Vesna entered the Czech national final for Eurovision ESCZ with their song “My Sister’s Crown”. The national final performance saw the return of former member of the group, singer and flute player Tanita Yankova, returning to a six piece for their Eurovision Song Contest attempt. When the voting results were revealed Vesna were awarded 10,584 votes, winning the national final by a margin of 6,368 votes, and becoming the Czech representatives for the Contest.
At the Contest in Liverpool in 2023, Vesna performed “My Sister’s Crown” in the first of the Semi-Finals. They qualified for the Saturday Grand Final, and would eventually place tenth with 129 points. 94 of these points came from the international juries, while 35 were awarded by the public televote.
