🇵🇱 Marysia Stachera wins the first semi-final of Szansa na Sukces – Eurowizja Junior 2021

Poland’s search for its Junior Eurovision 2021 representative has begun, as Szansa na Sukces – Eurowizja Junior 2021 had its first semi-final. Seven aspiring singers sang their hearts for Cleo (Poland 2014), Misha Kostrzewski and Mariana Józefina Piątkowska. After the performances, it was revealed that Marysia Stachera wins the spot in the final, after her rendition of Duncan Laurence’s “Arcade”.

Szansa na Sukces – Eurowizja Junior 2021 continues on

Two more semi-finals of Szansa na Sukces – Eurowizja Junior 2021 will take place, where we see more young aspiring singers compete for a chance to represent Poland at the 2021 Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Paris. Poland is set to select their representative on September 26.

What we currently know about the 2021 Junior Eurovision Song Contest

Junior Eurovision 2021 will take place in Paris, France following Valentina’s victory in JESC 2020 with “J’imagine”. The contest will be held in La Seine Musicale on December 19th. 19 countries will be competing in the 19th edition of the competition:

  • France (Host)
  • Georgia
  • Germany
  • Ireland
  • Italy
  • Kazakhstan
  • Malta
  • The Netherlands

Poland’s Junior Eurovision Journey

In 2003, Poland was one of the countries that participated in the inaugural edition of the competition, where they were represented by Katarzyna Żurawik with the song “Coś mnie nosi” which placed 16th. Poland participated for another year, before going on a 12-year break and returning in 2016. Since returning to the competition, they have participated five times, and managing to achieve a back-to-back win in 2018 and 2019.

Their recent participation in 2020, saw them being represented by Ala Tracz, with the song “I’ll Be Standing” which placed 9th overall, receiving 90 points from the jury and online vote combined.
