After touring around Europe this summer, Ireland’s Eurovision 2022 representative Brooke is back, as she releases her new anthemic single “Heartbreaker”, which is her second release after her participation in the competition after “Tongues“. To coincide with the release, Brooke has filmed a music video for “Heartbreaker” which was filmed in Nashville.
About “Heartbreaker”
Upon the release of the track, Brooke gave further insight on what the track is about:
“Heartbreaker is written from the perspective of preempting pain. Every relationship begins with the intention of a future but unfortunately this dream scenario doesn’t always last. Heartbreaker explores how to end a relationship, without hurting someone which is a scenario everyone can relate to.
I think people will enjoy the alternative perspective of the song – in a way it’s an ‘anti break-up song,’ where you consider your partner’s feelings while prioritising your own.`
