NF Fan Favourites
As any Eurovision megafan knows, Eurovision neither starts nor ends with the main contest. National Final season always introduces the world to new and exciting artists, many of which donโt get to go to the main event. Here are some of the biggest and best releases from National Final artists this month.
Noa Kirel, Svika Pick & Zooki – ืืจืงืื ืืืืืืืื 2022
Noa Kirel was the first artist to be confirmed for Eurovision, and this is the third song in as many months since she has been confirmed. ืืจืงืื ืืืืืืืื 2022 (The Automatic Dancer 2022) is a new version of Svika Pick’s 1973 song of the same name. Svika Pick, who Eurovision fans will know as the co-writer of 1998 winner “Diva”, passed away in August this year and this re-recording was made to honour him. Producer Zooki adds a dance beat and Noa Kirel’s vocals to the 70s pop track.
Rigoberta Bandini – “La Emperatriz” (LP)
Benidorm Fest 2022 runner-up Rigoberta Bandini has released debut album “La Emperatriz” (The Empress). The 12 track album includes Benidorm hit “Ay Mama” and “ASร BAILABA,โ a collab with Spain’s 2018 Eurovision representative Amaia. The album had a long run-up, with opening track “In Spain We Call It Soledad” being first released in 2020. To celebrate the release, Rigoberta Bandini has released a music video for “CANCIONES DE AMOR A TI” (Love song to you).
