The Voice Kids Portugal used as the selection of the Portuguese artist

As it has done so since its return to Junior Eurovision in 2021, RTP has once again opted to use The Voice Kids to select its representative. Júlia Machado auditioned for the latest series of ‘The Voice Kids’ with “Part of Your World” from Little Mermaid.

Aurea and Fernando Daniel turned around for Júlia. Aurea was initially Júlia’s mentor. However, Fernando stole Júlia when the opportunity arose after the Battles round of the competition and ended up winning the competition. This marks the second occassion where Fernando Daniel’s act went on to represent Portugal at Junior Eurovision, with the other being Simão Oliveira in 2021.

Now that Portugal has selected its representative for Junior Eurovision, work on Júlia’s entry for Nice is now underway, with Júlia’s entry to be revealed in due course.
