After confirming that they will be hosting Eurovision Young Musicians in 2024, the preparations are in full swing in Norway, as the submissions for its selection ‘Virtuos’ opens!
Submissions open until December
NRK has opened the submissions, and will be open until the 4th of December. Interested participants must be soloists, and must be the age of 12 and 21 by the 17th of August 2024. Interested participants must submit a self-selected repetoire from two different eras, with a maximum of 10 minutes. You are able to upload the files here or send them to NRK at NRK Kultur v/Hilde Reiersen, RM31, 0340, Oslo.
The Norwegian selection will take place in two phases. The Semi-Final will take place in February, where four finalists will be selected, with the final taking place on the 6th of April. The winner will receive 100,000NRK, as well as exciting solo tasks with KORK and their own concert during the Bergen Festival.
What we know about Eurovision Young Musicians 2024
Earlier in the year, it has been revealed that Norwegian broadcaster NRK and the city of Bodø will be the hosts of the 21st edition of Eurovision Young Musicians, which will take place on Stromen Concert Hall on the 17th August 2024.

Norway’s Eurovision Young Musicians Journey
Norway is one of the vetrerans as one of the countries who have participated in the debut edition of Eurovision Young Musicians in 1982, with Atle Sponberg. Since then, it has participated 19 times. Their recent participation saw the country being represented by Alma Serafin Kraggerud, who placed 3rd overall in the competiion.
