🇫🇷 Information about Junior Eurovision 2023 Opening Ceremony revealed

With less than a month until Junior Eurovision in Nice, French broadcaster France Télévisions has revealed details about the Opening Ceremony for Junior Eurovision 2023. 

Opening Ceremony Details

The Opening Ceremony will take place on Monday the 20th of November at 7 pm CET at the Negresco Hotel in Nice. It will be cohosted by Carla Lazzari, the French representative at the 2019 contest, and Manon Théodet, a well-known face on the French kids TV show “Okoo-Koo”. The ceremony will also decide some elements of the running order. The opening and closing positions in the running order will be drawn, as well as the position for the host country France.

France 4 will stream the opening ceremony with commentators Karim Ternane and Julia Gourand. Otherwise, it will be available on YouTube here:

What else?

In addition to the opening ceremony, France Télévisions will be hosting some additional events in the lead-up to Nice 2023. From Tuesday the 21st to Saturday the 25th of November at around 7:50 pm CET, the magazine “Heroes – Cap sur l’Eurovision Junior 2023” (Heroes – heading for Junior Eurovision 2023) will be inviting former French junior Eurovision representatives Carla, Angélina, Valentina, Enzo and Lissandro.

On top of that, the show “Basique” (Basic) will air from the 20th to the 24th of November at 8:40 pm on France 2. It promises to be a week-long spectacle that will immerse viewers in the world of Junior Eurovision. 

All about Junior Eurovision 2023

Junior Eurovision 2023 landed in Nice after France won the competition for a second time in Yerevan, represented by Lissandro with “Oh Maman”. This year’s competition will take place on the 26th of November at 16:00CET, at the Palais Nikaïa.
