About Dag Erik Oksvold & Anne Fagermo

Dag Erik Oksvold, 45 and Anne Fagermo, 25 are country singers from Norway who first met whilst competing in The Voice Norway in 2023 under the mentorship of Espen Lind, who coached Alessandra the year prior.

They immediately hit it off thanks to their similar musical style, and after the show they reconnected and wrote their competing entry “Judge Tenderly Of Me” after Dag Erik sent some notes to Anne, who, inspired by the Emily Dickenson poem This Is My letter to the world wrote the lyrics.

The pair have each been releasing solo music for the past few years, and Dag Erik was formerly a drummer, performing in Melodi Grand Prix 2012 for Petter Øien and Bobby Bare, as well as performing with former Eurovision winner Katrina & The Waves.

Norway’s Eurovision Journey

The Scandinavian nation made its debut in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1960, with Nora Brockstedt and the song “Voi Voi”, which placed 4th. Since their debut, they have participated 61 times, and made the Grand Final 58 of these.

In addition, Norway has won the competition three times – in 1985, 1995, and 2009. Norway’s latest Eurovision participation saw them being represented by Alessandra with the song “Queen of Kings”. After qualifying for the final, Norway placed 5th in the Grand Final, receiving 268 points, 52 of which from the jury and 216 from televoters.
