The Winners

KALUSH feat. KRUTЬ – “Десятка”

KRUTЬ returns to the round-up through this collaboration with KALUSH (who seemingly took last month’s nigh-empty winners circle as a call to action, as you will soon see). “Десятка” is the return of the KALUSHcollab project, which sees the band work with a large range of artists. The project first saw the light of day in 2020, and now is gloriously returning. The song, named after a real cafe, was written by KRUTЬ back in 2021 and beautifully sees her dulcet, folky sound merge with KALUSH’s pop sensibilities.

KALUSH x KOLA – “Пам’ятай”, KOLA x KALUSH – “Упіймай моє серце”

The 2021 winners followed that beautiful song up with a double-collab with the singer KOLA. ““Пам’ятай” (Remember) was released on the band’s YouTube and is, as you might expect, closer to their usual rap sound. “Упіймай моє серце” (Hold my heart) meanwhile was released on KOLA’s channel and leans into a mid-00s poprock inspired sound.

Golubenko, KALUSH – “Дощ”

But wait, there’s more! KALUSH also teamed up with Golubenko for new song “Дощ” (Rain). It’s a moody, electronica inspired rap track that also sees some very interesting vocal effects used.

Lena – “Loyal to myself”

“Loyal to myself” is Lena’s reminder to herself and recommendation to us that you should always be, well, loyal to yourself. This song is very early-to-mid-00s pop singer-songwriter, so needless to say I absolutely love this contender for Song Of The Month. The song sees Lena share writing credits with Hannah Wilson (Alok, Armin van Buuren, The Pussycat Dolls), Nicolas Rebscher (Alice Merton, AURORA, Louis Tomlinson), and Sam Merrifield (James TW, Mae Muller, Mimi Webb), with Nico Rebscher (AURORA, Rea Garvey, Milow) in the production booth.

ELDAR – “Yad Adam”

Eldar presents a string-powered ballad on “Yad Adam” (Strangers). The song is both about being careful about who you let into your heart. The song was composed by İslam Şirvani, with lyrics by Orxan Zeynallı.
