Spain’s act for Eurovision 2024, Nebulossa, have given more details on their plans for their Eurovision performance.
Nebulossa working with professionals
In an interview with Spanish national broadcaster RTVE, Nebulossa confirmed who would be staging their song in Malmö. The duo revealed that Juan Sebastián and Israel Reyes will be working to build on their winning performance at Benidorm Fest.
This is not the first time that Sebastián and Reyes have worked with Nebulossa. The pair were the brains behind Nebulossa’s winning performance at the national final. And it is clear that they are thrilled about the opportunity to design the staging for “Zorra”. In the interview, the duo said:
Es el resultado de años de trabajo y un escaparate a la capacidad creativa de una generación de profesionales que hemos trabajado combinando distintas disciplinas como salida a las dificultades del sector.
Confiaron en la idea, les gusto el concepto estético y visual del proyecto y todo empezó a crecer.
It is the result of years of work and a showcase for the creative capacity of a generation of professionals who have worked combining different disciplines as a way out of the difficulties of the sector.
[Nebulossa] trusted the idea, they liked the aesthetic and visual concept of the project and everything began to grow.

As well as this, the pair have announced they will be working with choreographer Vero Mejía. In the interview, they also commended both Mejía and RTVE for their professionalism, working on visuals, costumes, lighting and production throughout.
Spain’s Eurovision journey
Spain debuted at the Eurovision Song Contest in 1961 with Conchita Bautista’s “Estando Contigo”. The country earned its first win in 1968 with Massiel’s “La La La”, and won again in 1969 with Salome’s “Vivo Cantando” in an infamous four-way tie. Although they have yet to win again, Spain earned several 2nd place finishes, most famously with Mocedades’ “Eres tu” in 1973 and Anabel Conde’s “Vuelve conmigo” in 1996.
In 2023, Spain selected Blanca Paloma to carry on the success of Chanel in 2022. As part of the Big 5, Blanca Paloma did not need to qualify to the Grand Final from the semi-finals. At the close of voting, her song “EAEA” finished 17th, with a total of 100 points. Of these, 95 points came from the jury, whilst 5 came from the televote.
