Today, the rehearsals for Eurovision 2024 continue in Malmö. The first half of semi-final two had their second rehearsals and the Big Five and Sweden had their first rehearsals. Countries rehearsing for the first time on Day 6 include the United Kingdom, Germany, Sweden, France, Spain and Italy. The next to rehearse is Sweden’s Marcus & Martinus.
Marcus & Martinus’ first rehearsal
The third to take the Eurovision 2024 stage at Malmö Arena in Malmö was Sweden’s Marcus & Martinus. They will be competing in this year’s competition with their entry “Unforgettable” after they won the Swedish national selection, Melodifestivalen.
Following Marcus & Martinus’ first rehearsal, a clip of what went on was posted on the official TikTok account of the Eurovision Song Contest. The clip showed them before and after they took to the Eurovision stage for the first time, as well as giving us some insight into how well their first rehearsal went.
As soon as the official Eurovision TikTok is available, you can watch it here.
What did we learn about Marcus and Martinus’ staging?

Marcus & Martinus’ staging remains largely the same to Melodifestivalen. The duo are joined by four dancers and the staging uses the same blues, reds and blacks from the national final. The biggest change from Melfest is the elevation to the Eurovision stage – they use the cubes and have changed around some of the lighting effects.

Sweden’s Eurovision History
In 1958, Sweden made their debut in the Eurovision Song Contest, with Alice Babs representing them with the song “Lilla stjärna” which placed fourth. Since their debut, the Scandinavian nation has managed to win seven times (1974, 1984, 1991, 1999, 2012, 2015 and 2023).
In 2023, Loreen returned to represent Sweden, who won the 2012 edition of the competition. She competed with the song “Tattoo”, which managed to qualify for the Grand Final, and placed 1st with 583 points. Loreen won the jury vote, accruing 340 points from the jury, earning an additional 243 points from the televote. This now means Sweden matches Ireland for the record of most wins in Eurovision history.
