In the lead-up to Junior Eurovison 2024, more countries are releasing their entry for this year’s contest, and this time it’s Georgia’s turn as Andria’s entry “To My Mom” was released
About “To My Mom”
“To My Mom” was created by Giga Kukhianidze who has worked on 13 of Georgia’s Junior Eurovision entries, alongside Maka Davitaya for the entry. The premiere of the entry took place online, with the video being uploaded on the Junior Eurovision YouTube channel, with GPB filming the music video and working with Iza Nadareishvili for the outfit that Andria wore for the video.
Georgia’s Junior Eurovision Journey
Georgia is the joint most successful country to take part in Junior Eurovision, currently with three wins under their belt. The country joined the Junior Eurovision family in 2007 with Mariam Romelashvili sing “Odelia Ranuni”, finishing in 4th place. Georgia would go on to win the competition the following year, with Bzikebi’s “Bzz…”. Georgia would also win the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2011 and 2016 respectively. Georgia also hosted the Contest in Tbilisi in 2017.
In 2023, Georgia was represented by Anastasia and Ranina and their song “Over The Sky” in Nice. Once the combined scores were revealed, Georgia finished in 14th place – earning 74 points. The online vote gave Georgia 53 points, whilst professional juries awarded 21 points to the country.
