GĂ„te, who represented Norway at the 2024 Eurovision Song Contest with the song ‘Ulveham’ have released the single ‘PĂ„ veg’ – the band’s first release since partaking in Eurovision.
About ‘PĂ„ veg’
The song was written by vocalist Gunnhild Sundli as well as the band’s guitarist Magnus BĂžrmark, who also produced the track.
Translating to English as ‘On the way’ – PĂ„ veg is a continuation of GĂ„te’s iconic folk rock sound, and the lyrics follow the story of an ill fated walk through an isolated forest, and as with many a GĂ„te track, Gunnhild’s kulning features prominently.
The band also made a promotional video (not a music video) for the song, which you can watch below. The video was Johnny L. Dahle with drone footage by Ole Ekker.
