After featuring last month on DØR‘s Album FASES, Portugal’s iolanda has continued her collaborations as she has released the single “Contratempo” alongside Marisa Liz.
About “Contratempo”
Contratempo was written by iolanda, Marisa Liz and Diogo Branco, who is Marisa’s partner and regular collaborator, and was produced by Gui Salgueiro of The Black Mamba.
Classically iolanda by sound, the song runs on themes of saudade, and desires of the heart.
The song was released with an accompanying music video, which was produced by André Tentugal.

iolanda’s Eurovision Journey
iolanda was invited to by RTP to compose a song for Festival Da Canção 2024 – entering with the song “Grito” she won the competition with 22 points, and would go on to represent Portugal at Eurovision 2024.
She managed to qualify for the Grand Final and once there, she finished in 10th place. She received a total of 152 points, of which 139 points came from the jury and 13 points came the televote.
