About Adelina
Adelina Jurevica is a Latvian-born singer of mixed Eastern European background, currently living in London. Originally releasing music under the stage name Adelly, her first successful single “Zima”–a Russian pop dance song–was played on over 100 radio stations in Latvia and Russia. Since then, she has released music in genres such as pop, urban, dance, R&B, and more.
Her other musical achievements include singing backup for Lady Gaga in 2012, graduating from Riga’s JMRMV Music School in 2013, and winning a hip-hop open mic in Atlanta, Georgia, USA. Adelina is, however, not just a singer; she is also an accomplished pianist who has performed at London Fashion Week, and is herself a fashionista who has worked with brands such as H&M. She has been based in the United Kingdom since 2016.
Latvia’s Eurovision journey
Latvia made their Eurovision debut in 2000, finishing 3rd with “My Star” by Brainstorm. They have performed at every contest since and quickly won in 2002. Marie N sang “I Wanna,” scoring 176 points and bringing Eurovision to Riga. Since then, Latvia has finished in the top 10 two more times, in 2005 and 2015.
Latvia’s most recent entry on the Eurovision stage was Dons, who performed “Hollow”. The song qualified from the semi-final, bringing Latvia to the grand final for the first time since 2016. In the Grand Final Dons finished in 16th with 64 points, 26 from the public vote and 38 from the national juries.
Supernova‘s tenth edition will start with a semifinal on 1 February and conclude on 8 February; 20 songs will fight for the opportunity to represent Latvia at Eurovision 2025 in Basel, Switzerland.
