We’re only a few days away from knowing who will represent Luxembourg at the 2025 edition of the Eurovision Song Contest, and RTL have announced changes to the voting at LSC 2025.
LSC’25 voting
Among the major changes at LSC is the removal of the superfinal from the show. There will now be just a single round for all seven competitors. The voting will be equally weighted between a professional jury and a televote. For the latter, that will be awarded proportionally out of 336 points. The jury will vote semi-Eurovision style; with each juror awarding one competitor 12, 10, 8, 6, 4, 2, 0 points respectively.
The broadcaster have also revealed that voting will cost 0.99€, and eligible voters will be able to vote up to 20 times.

The second edition of the contest will see Raoul Roos and Loïc Juchem reprise their roles as presenters of the contest. Reigning LSC champion Tali will perform as an interval act singing her new single Dear Parents in addition to her Eurovision 2024 entry Fighter. RTL have also announced that the trophy for this year’s contest was designed by acclaimed Luxembourgish glassblower Pascale Seil; who won a design contest for the trophy.
The 2025 edition of the contest is set to take place on the 25th of January from the Rockhal arena in Esch. Seven acts are battling out for the chance to compete in Basel.
Luxembourg’s Eurovision Journey
Luxembourg first made its debut in the first edition of the Contest in 1956, with their first entries being “Ne crois pas” and “Les Amants de minuit”, both performed by Michèle Arnaud. Since the first Contest, Luxembourg has competed a total of 38 times. Their best result was finishing in 1st place five times – in 1961, 1965, 1972, 1973 and 1983 respectively.
Luxembourg returned to the contest for the first time in 31 years in 2024. Tali represented Luxembourg in Malmö, with the song “Fighter” bringing Luxembourg their first semifinal qualification–since they last participated before the semifinal system even existed! In the Grand Final, “Fighter” received 103 points: 83 from the national juries, and 20 from the televoters.
