🇬🇧 Remember Monday to represent the United Kingdom at Eurovision 2025

After great speculation the BBC have announced that Remember Monday will represent the United Kingdom at the 2025 Eurovision Song Contest in Basel, Switzerland.

What The Hell Just Happened to be the UK’s entry

The announcement came via The Scott Mills’ Breakfast Show; the trio girl group will represent the United Kingdom with “What The Hell Just Happened”. Earlier this year, the BBC announced that it would be shaking up its approach to Eurovision, with BBC Introducing taking a strong presence in the selection process.

The official music video of “What The Hell Just Happened” will premiere at 09:30GMT on the official Eurovision YouTube Channel.

Who are Remember Monday?

Trio Remember Monday consists of Lauren Byrne, Holly-Anne Hull, and Charlotte Steele. The group have been active in the British music scene since 2019 following their performance on the UK edition of The Voice. Following their stint on TV the group gained a large following on TikTok for their covers. At present they have yet to release an ablum, though have released 14 singles.

The United Kingdom’s Eurovision Journey

The UK is one of the most successful countries in the Eurovision Song Contest. Debuting at the second edition of the Contest in 1957, the United Kingdom won the competition on five occasions. The most recent win for the UK was in 1997 with Katrina and the Waves, singing “Love Shine A Light”. The UK also holds the record for second-place finishes – currently at 16.

In 2024, Olly Alexander represented the UK in Malmö with his song “Dizzy”. At the close of voting, the UK finished 18th in a field of 25, earning 46 points. All these points came from the jury.
