Now that the utterly chaotic 2025 National Final season is over, and we now have all the songs that will be competing at the 2025 Eurovision Song Contest in Basel. Instead of taking a breather, it’s time to deep dive and being overly analytical about ever single song in That Eurovision Jury 2025.
While there’s no way to accurately predict what the juries or televotes will decide next month, we can say how we would vote if we were jurors, because boy do we have some strong opinions here at TES.
No Rules! (okay we do have to have some rules)
The 36 countries competing this year have been randomly sorted into 6 segments. Each segment will be voted on by 5 jurors. They have assessed based on six categories: Melodic Impact, Artist Presence, Individuality, Attention Drawing, Vocal Fit, and Lyrical Impact. Exact specifications of these criteria can be found below. Our five jurors have given a score of 1 to 5 on each of the six topics, allowing each juror to give a maximum of 30 points to each song. In total there are up to 150 points available to each song. Once every song and score has been presented a full breakdown with a ranking of all 36 of this year’s entries.
Additionally, all of our jurors were asked to give one positive, and one negative comment about each song in a constructive manner. In line with our current editorial policy Israel will not be reviewed as part of this jury. You can read more about our stance here.
These are our personal opinions based on the criteria outlined. This is in no way attempt to accurately predict what will be the outcome of live shows and should not be taken as such.
Countries And Jurors For Part Four
The six countries that make up the first segment being voted on are: United Kingdom, Azerbaijan, Slovenia, Australia, Czechia, and Albania.
The jurors voting in this segment are: Angus, Lewis, Samantha, Shiloh, and Georgia.
Voting Criteria
Criteria 1: Melodic Impact
How lasting is the beat of the track. The more the beat stays, the higher the ranking.
Criteria 2: Artist’s Presence
If a national final is used, how their presence on stage affected the performance. If an internal selection was used, and no pre-party of other live footage is available then their presence is assessed based on their history.
Criteria 3: Individuality
How different is the song compared to the rest of the acts participating this year.
Criteria 4: Attention Drawing
How drawn in are you by the song. Are you waiting for it to finish, or completely engrossed.
Criteria 5: Vocal Fit
Assessing the vocal fit of the artist to the song rather than judging their technical ability in full. ie. X singer may have a wider range to Y singer, though singer Y may utilise the range better in their song and therefore should be ranked higher than X.
Criteria 6: Lyrical Impact
How lasting are the lyrics to you. Has listening to it left you singing the song.

Positives
Angus: Remember Monday have pipes and this song gives them the opportunity to show off those vocal abilities a lot
Lewis: The girls have a really impressive live vocal and their harmonies are absolutely gorgeous!
Samantha: This is catchy, and the vocals are REALLY strong, the harmonies are insane, Remember Monday are definitely some of the best this year in terms of vocals.
Shiloh: Their voices blend well together, and the heavy-handed harmonies are actually a great fit for this style of music.
Georgia: It’s at least different to what the UK usually sends & all three are very solid vocalists.
Negatives
Angus: The song goes from vocal moment to vocal moment with little else interesting going on musically or lyrically
Lewis: There are a lot of songwriters credited for this song and sadly it shows in the lyrics. The lyrical content sounds like each songwriter wrote different sections in some different rooms and put it together to create this weird concoction of lyrics.
Samantha: This is a generic pop song that in parts feels messy, and my main concern is the performance in Basel. I have a strong feeling that it is going to be chaotic.
Shiloh: The transitions in this song are so all over the place. The verse and the chorus feel like two completely different songs and it’s so jarring, making it hard to really stay engaged.
Georgia: The repetition of ‘What the Hell just Happened?’ (over a minute’s worth of the song) can feel quite grating to me.
Azerbaijan 🇦🇿 Mamagama – Run With U

Positives
Angus: That chorus will lodge itself between your ears much quicker and for much longer than you’d think
Lewis: This song feels so different for an Azerbaijani entry. It’s refreshing seeing Azerbaijan exploring different avenues with their entry this year.
Samantha: “Run With You” is catchy, and the ethnic vibes really elevate the song, as it is something that is slightly lacking in this year’s contest.
Shiloh: There’s nothing much like it at Eurovision this year… and I kinda love it. It’s upbeat, but still mellow, contrasting with the more in-your-face uptunes this year.
Georgia: I like the touches of traditional instruments.
Negatives
Angus: The lyrics of this song sometimes get stuck in clichés and seems either unwilling or unable to find its way out of them
Lewis: I did find the ending of the song a bit too abrupt in the studio version. I hope they can iron this out for the live performance in May. Also a song like this where the head voice is used a lot can put many listeners off.
Samantha: It’s a middle of the road entry, there is nothing wrong with it, it just doesn’t captivate like other entries do.
Shiloh: The lyrics are sometimes hard to understand, making them hard to remember.
Georgia: To me, it doesn’t really feel like it stands out, it’s just kinda there.
Slovenia 🇸🇮 Klemen – How Much Time Do We Have Left
| Juror 1 | Juror 2 | Juror 3 | Juror 4 | Juror 5 | Total | |
| Melodic Impact | 3 | 4 | 2 | 3 | 3 | 15 |

| Vocal Fit | 2 | 4.5 | 3 | 3 | 2.5 | 15 |
| Lyrical Impact | 4 | 4 | 4 | 5 | 3.5 | 20.5 |
Total score: 97
Positives
Angus: The lyrics are very emotional and this song is fairly one-of-its-kind this specific Eurovision musically
Lewis: This is my type of Eurovision. I love emotional ballads, and I feel there is absolutely an audience for this type of song where you can connect to the lyrics and connect it to your own life experiences.
Samantha: The lyrics are hard hitting and Klemen takes us on an emotional journey
Shiloh: This song really stands out as one of the few totally sincere, quiet, story-driven songs at Eurovision this year.
Georgia: The emotion of the story can easily resonate with voters.
Negatives
Angus: Both live and in the studio the vocals sound a little strained at times
Lewis: A lot of the performance choices in the national final left me confused. There was a lot of choices that were made that felt very unnecessary (as impressive as it is to be able to hold a decent vocal whilst upside down). I think if Klemen had decided to keep those performance elements in Basel there is a chance that viewers could be thrown by this.
Samantha: The song is too emotionally charged for me personally and despite having listened to it a few times, the only thing that seems to stick are the first few lines of the chorus. I think you get a bit lost in your in own world after the first few lines and disconnect from listening to the song.
Shiloh: The melody itself isn’t particularly special or catchy. I remember it took me several occasions of listening to this before I really internalized it.
Georgia: In a semi-final with lots of loud, in your face entries, this could easily get lost in all the noise.
Australia 🇦🇺 Go-Jo – Milkshake Man

Total score: 103
Positives
Angus: There are some really fun and interesting musical ideas in this song, and they have been executed in a way that makes this song stick around in your mind
Lewis: This is Eurovision fun in the best way. The lyrics are catchy, the production is boppy and it has a really good call & response section!
Samantha: It is quite fun and Go-Jo has amazing stage presence
Shiloh: Go-Jo’s voice actually does a lot to up the charisma of this song, particularly during the opening.
Georgia: I absolutely love the synth-y, 80s feel in the instrumental track.
Negatives
Angus: You will remember the milkshake man whether you want to or not, but lyrically he just leaves me with a sour taste in my mouth
Lewis: There will be parts of the Eurovision audience that will find this lyrical content way too crude.
Samantha: If you haven’t heard Go-Jo talk about the meaning of the song, then it immediately comes off as a joke entry and that will make many lose interests. Also, I fear the staging is going to be a mess and chaotic.
Shiloh: It isn’t anything special or groundbreaking. It’s in the same category with five or six other songs at this year’s Eurovision and I have no idea how they’re going to make it stand out.
Georgia: This feels like it’s going to be a very polarising song – either you’re going to love it or you’re going to hate it with very little in between.
Czechia 🇨🇿 ADONXS – Kiss Kiss Goodbye

Positives
Angus: ADONXS is a pretty good performer, and I am expecting quite a show in Basel
Lewis: I love Adonxs’s voice! He has such a rich tone and that’s proven even more from his live performances.
Samantha: “Kiss Kiss Goodbye” is catchy and ADONXS has a great voice that compliments the song well.
Shiloh: He absolutely has the performance chops to sell this onstage. That’s the one thing we got out of the MESC preview; he’s dialled into the intensity and can deliver the live vocals.
Georgia: ADONXS showed in his MESC acoustic performance that he can sing the song very well.
Negatives
Angus: This song tries to be so in your face musically it can make listeners bounce right off
Lewis: Sadly I do not care for this song sonically. I think up until the dance break section, I found the instrumentation very underwhelming and even at the dance break section where the production picks up, it fades away way too soon.
Samantha: Will this engross people ? Probably not. There are a few stand out entries and this is not of them.
Shiloh: That dance break around the 2:20 mark comes absolutely out of nowhere and proves that Czechia fell very easily into the trap of throwing in a total changeup for shock value without being able to back it up.
Georgia: The dance break feels unnecessary to me and very out of character with the rest of the song.
Albania 🇦🇱 Shkodra Elektronike – Zjerm
| Juror 1 | Juror 2 | Juror 3 | Juror 4 | Juror 5 | Total | |
| Melodic Impact | 4 | 4 | 5 | 4 | 3.5 | 20.5 |
| Artist’s Presence | 3.5 | 4 | 5 | 2 | 4 | 18.5 |
| Individuality | 4 | 4.5 | 5 | 5 | 4 | 22.5 |
| Attention Drawing | 4 | 3.5 | 5 | 5 | 4 | 21.5 |
| Vocal Fit | 4 | 4 | 4 | 5 | 3.5 | 20.5 |
| Lyrical Impact | 2.5 | 4.5 | 5 | 3.5 | 3.5 | 19 |
Total score: 122.5
Positives
Angus: A musically very interesting and pretty unique song that has some very memorable melodic moments
Lewis: These 2 are absolutely incredible performers. I love the juxtaposition of Beatriçe’s dancing with Kole’s intensity on stage. They know how to keep everyone’s attention on stage.
Samantha: This entry is daring, different and authentic. Shkodra Elektronike put on a great performance with a perfect mix of ethnic beats mixed with modern electronic vibes.
Shiloh: The lead singer has an absolutely beautiful voice that is, honestly, what gives the song so much of its magic.
Georgia: It’s such a unique entry, combining great vocals with a traditional sound – you can see why so many Eurofans hope that it will do well in Basel.
Negatives
Angus: The lyrics do their job, but at least to me little more than that
Lewis: As much as I enjoy the use of the octopad on stage, I almost wish there was more scenery or props around it for the performance. I think because the staging was so bare, there was far too much focus on the instrument itself.
Samantha: Maybe with it being one of the first entries to be released, the excitement surrounding this song has gone, but I don’t doubt that “Zjerm” will immediately captivate people in Basel. The vocals could also be ever so slightly stronger.
Shiloh: The live performance of this is SO awkward. Not vocally, but physically. There needs to be a lot of work done on the staging before the big contest.
Georgia: It’s so out there but it may mean that first-time or casual viewers may not ‘get’ it.
