The Winners

Sebastian Ingrosso – “A New Day (feat. Celine Dion)”

Another Ingrosso has hit the TES Round-Up. This time it is Sebastian’s turn, as he remixed Celine Dion‘s “A New Day Has Come”. His take, called “A New Day”, keeps the song rooted in the early 00s musically but turns the piano-driven ballad into a track ready for the mainstage at a festival. And it has the history to prove it, with the song first being heard last year across the festival circuit before finally getting a release this month.

Kalush Orchestra – “Ностальгія”

Regular service returns as Kalush (and its Orchestra) are back on their steady release schedule, after a surprise (if totally understandable) absence last month. “Ностальгія” (Nostalgia) is an upbeat sounding, fittingly nostalgic feeling track that also carries that tiny undertone of sadness that nostalgic moments can conjure.

KALUSH x BALSAM – “Вітер”

And as if to make up for lost time, KALUSH once again this month worked without the orchestra but with BALSAM for a new song. “Вітер” (Wind) is a song all about getting knocked down and picking yourself up again, taking whatever life throws at you and trying to make the most of it.

Έλενα Παπαρίζου – “Καληνύχτα”

Helena Paparizou wishes you “Καληνύχτα” (Goodnight) with this summery pop track that celebrates those summer nights you spend with someone that you hope will never end.

Peter Plate x Ulf Leo Sommer x Joshua Lange feat. Conchita Wurst – “So Kalt Der Tod”

This November in Berlin’s Theater des Westens, Conchita Wurst will be the guest star in the musical “Romeo und Julia – Liebe ist alles” (Romeo and Juliet – Love is everything). To help Conchita fans waiting to see the artist on the stage as the Todesengel (Angel of Death), we get to hear Conchita’s version of “So kalt der Tod” (So cold [is] death), a haunting piano ballad that is a great vocal fit.

Nigar Jamal – “Axtarmasan”

“Axtarmasan” (If you don’t look for it) is the latest release by Nigar Jamal, who was half of Azerbaijan’s victorious duo. It’s an upbeat pop track with some interesting brass instrumentation at times as it tries to bridge the difference between traditional Azeri influences and jazz, while still working within the constraints of pop music.

Loreen – “Echoes”, Dimitri Vegas, David Guetta, Loreen – “Pum Pum”

It’s a solo release and a collab with David Guetta and Dimitri Vegas for two time winner Loreen this month, and we got an article on each release for you here:
