Check out our interview with DEVIN here!

In the interview, Rory and DEVIN chat about his musical inspirations, how he found out that he was competing at Dora 2026 and how he is continuing to experiment with his musical style. The pair also get rather existential, and have some chats over his previous Eurovision experience in 2021, whilst also reflecting on some of his favourite memories of the Contest.

Who is DEVIN?

DEVIN is the stage name of Devin Juraj, a 25-year-old singer songwriter born in Pula. Born to a Croatian mother and a Candian father, he first began his musical journey in 2019, when he first released four demo tracks whilst studying in Brighton for Musical Theatre, before moving home to Zagreb during the pandemic. Since then, he has become a well-known artist in Croatia, with several hits since officially launching his music career. His song for Dora 2026, “Over Me”, was written by DEVIN himself.

Croatia’s Eurovision journey

Croatia has been a part of the Eurovision family since 1961, as part of Yugoslavia. Ten Croatian artists went on to represent Yugoslavia in the Contest – the most famous of which being Riva, who gave Yugoslavia its only win in 1989. The 1990 Contest was held in Zagreb as a tribute to their Croatian heritage. Croatia debuted in the Contest as an independent nation in 1993 with the band Put and their song β€œDon’t Ever Cry”. Since then, Croatia has gone on to score as high as 2nd place in 2024.

In 2025, Croatia chose Marko BoΕ‘njak to represent the nation in Basel with his song “Poison Cake”. Performing in the first semi-final, Croatia failed to qualify for the final, placing twelfth with a televote score of 28 points.
