Today the rehearsals for Eurovision 2026 continue in Vienna. Countries rehearsing on Day 2 include Montenegro, Estonia, Israel, Belgium, Lithuania, San Marino, Poland, and Serbia. The eighth to rehearse today is Serbia’s LAVINA.

LAVINA’s first rehearsal

The next to take to the Eurovision 2026 stage in the Wiener Stadthalle in Vienna was Serbia’s LAVINA. LAVINA will be competing in this year’s competition with their entry “Kraj Mene” following their win at Pesma Za Evroviziju.

What did we learn about LAVINA’s staging?

A performance based more on refining it’s PzE basis rather than reinventing the wheel, what we can expect is a more dramatic and bold interpretation of the artistic vision. The most dramatic change centres around the imposing sword, which now takes a much more prominent role in the visuals and movement of the performance. We can expect a more imposing and fiery ending to this year’s semi final with a heavy dependency on pyro in the final moments.

Who are LAVINA

Lavina is a six-piece band formed of Luka Aranđelović, Pavle Aranđelović, Pavle Samardžić, Andrija Cvetanović, Nikola Petrović and Bojan Ilić. The group first formed in 2020 in their native Niš. The band released their first album in 2022 and released a string of songs from 2024 onwards, all in English. Their music has led to various festival appearances and some domestic success in Serbia itself.

Serbia’s Eurovision Journey

In 2007, Serbia made its debut as an independent country, having previously participated as part of Yugoslavia and Serbia & Montenegro. There, they were represented by Marija Šerifović with “Molitva”, which managed to win the competition. Since their debut, Serbia has participated 16 times (13 of which, where they qualified for the Grand Final).

Princ represented Serbia at Eurovision 2025 in Basel with his song “Mila”. At this year’s competition, Serbia failed to qualify for the Grand Final, finishing in fourteenth place with 28 points in the semi-final.
