🇳🇱 TES Preview: “Artistic and Powerful” for Ayana’s rehearsal

Today, nine of the participating countries of the 2021 Junior Eurovision Song Contest are having their second rehearsal. These are Portugal, Ireland, Malta, The Netherlands, Germany, Italy, Georgia, Spain, and Poland.

In today’s rehearsal, the attending Press had the opportunity to watch the full rehearsals from these countries. Before we find out what happens in The Netherlands’ rehearsal, let’s see how their first rehearsal went.

What happens during Ayana’s performance?

Using Ayana’s performance at the Junior Songfestival back in September, Ayana sticks to most of what we have seen. The choreography stays the same, the screen and the dancers are there, including the use of the Fans. The only difference is, once the dancers appear, the screen in the middle of the screen disappears, and we see a bright background in the screen.

You are able to see a preview of the performance right here:

The Netherlands’ Junior Eurovision Journey

Being one of the countries that participated in the first edition in 2003, The Netherlands is the only country that has not missed a single competition, since its inception in 2003. They managed to win once in 2009 with Ralf Mackenbach and his entry “Click Clack”.

Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2020 edition of the Junior Eurovision took place, with The Netherlands selecting Unity to represent them in the competition. The girl group competed with the song ‘Best Friends’, which placed 4th overall, scoring 132 points from the jury and online vote.
