The final of Pabandom iš Naujo has just taken place in Lithuania, and we now know that Monika Liu will be representing the nation in Turin with her song “Sentimentai.” The song won with 84 jury points and 23,604 points in the televote, defeating Augustė Vedrickaitė, who came second, and Lolita Zero, who came third.

Pabandom iš Naujo 2022 Jurors and Interval acts
The jury for the final of Pabandom iš Naujo 2022 consisted of Ramūnas Zilnys, Gerūta Griniūtė, Vytautas Bikus, Stanislavas Stavickis-Stano, Aistė Smilgevičiūtė, Ieva Narkutė and Vaidotas Valiukevičius. The show also featured special guests The Roop – who placed eighth for Lithuania at Eurovision 2021 – premiering their new single “Let’s Get Naked” alongside performances of “Discoteque” and “On Fire.”

Lithuania’s Eurovision journey
The Baltic nation made its debut at the Eurovision Song contest in 1994, when Ovidijus Vyšniauskas placed 25th with the song “Lopšinė mylimai.” Since then, Lithuania has participated 21 times and made the Grand Final 14 times. LT United gave Lithuania its best ever Eurovision result back in 2006, placing sixth.
Lithuania’s latest Eurovision participation, saw the nation represented by The Roop, who had been due to represent Lithuania at the 2020 Eurovision Song Contest. For 2021, the group participated with “Discoteque,” managing to place eighth overall with 220 points.
