NF Fan Favourites

As any Eurovision megafan knows, Eurovision neither starts nor ends with the main contest. National Final season always introduces the world to new and exciting artists, many of which don’t get to go to the main event. Here are some of the best releases from National Final artists this month:

La Rappresentante di Lista – Diva

Two time Sanremo contestants La Rappresentante di Lista have released their first song since competing with “Ciao Ciao”. “Diva” sees LRDL call on everyone to be who they want to be, to feel like a Diva. The lyrics, which also touch on the importance of diversity, inclusiveness, and the right to follow your own path, are supported by a synthy melody and drums.

Tanxugueiras – Desidia and Seghadoras

Tanxugueiras, the Galician folk trio that won the televote in Benidorm Fest, released new singles “Desidia” and “Seghadoras” in June. Both songs build on the booming folktronica of “Terra,” their Benidorm entry. “Desidia” is about the importance of listening to your body and self-care, while “Seghadoras” is a call to find the strength to cut negative factors out of your life. The tracks will be part of the as-of-yet untitled third Tanxugueiras album, which will be out July 29.

Rkomi – Ossa Rotte

Italian rapper and 2022 Sanremo contestant Rkomi is out with his first solo single since his entry “Insuperabile”. “Ossa Rotte” (Broken Bones) has been described by Rkomi as being the “last stop” of his 2021 album “Taxi Driver”. The summery sounding track carries sad lyrics about the aftermath of a relationship that ended badly.

Elodie – Tribale

Speaking of Italian hitmakers: Elodie has released new track “Tribale”. The song is the third single of an upcoming album by the 2017 and 2020 Sanremo contestant. In what seems to be a theme among Italian singers, this song also features upbeat, summer-ready music while being about a former relationship.
