Eurovision.tv announced on Thursday that Royal Caribbean International would sponsor the 2024 and 2025 Eurovision Song Contests. Executive Supervisor Martin Österdahl shared that “[t]he Eurovision Song Contest and Royal Caribbean share a passion for creating unforgettable experiences that unite people from all around the world.”
Who are Royal Caribbean International?
Royal Caribbean International, or RCI, were founded in Norway in 1968 and is the world’s second-largest cruise line by passenger count. They are headquartered in Miami, Florida, the United States.
The collaboration’s debut ahead of this year’s contest will coincide with the start of RCI’s European season. Ben Bouldin, a representative from Royal Caribbean, told Eurovision.tv that “the combination of Royal Caribbean International and the Eurovision Song Contest makes the ultimate partnership that will bring to life the very best of world-class live entertainment and a fusion of cultures from all over.”
There is potential for Eurovision fans to get deals on Royal Caribbean tickets, as implied on Eurovision.tv.
The cruise line joins Israeli bodycare company Moroccanoil in sponsoring the contest. Moroccanoil’s contract was reportedly extended by one year due to the COVID-19 pandemic and continues through 2025.

In July 2023, after a shortlist of four cities, it was announced that Malmö will host Eurovision 2024, with the city spending up to €2.5 Million for the contest, as well as having 600 volunteers working for the show.
At least 37 countries will take the stage in May. Luxembourg will be returning, whilst Romania’s participation is still uncertain. ‘United By Music’ has been announced as the permanent slogan for the contest.
