🇸🇪 Loreen releases her new single “Is It Love”

The wait is finally over, a few months on since her win in Liverpool, two-time Eurovision winner Loreen has released her new single “Is It Love”, which is her first release since “Tattoo”

About “Is It Love”

Loreen’s latest release saw her co-write the song with MTHR, Dag Lundberg and Maia Wright. Upon the release of “Is It Love”, Loreen talked more about the meaning of the song:

Is It Love” was born from a place of seeking clarity, it’s a song describing and contemplating a love that’s so deep but at the same time filled with confusion. It’s about realising that to create a deeper understanding of yourself you need to accept the duality of life, that distortion and clarity goes hand in hand and are equally as important. And to experience the depth of true love, both to the self as well as to others, you have to accept and experience the depth of pain

Loreen’s Eurovision Journey

Loreen started her Eurovision journery in 2011, where she competed in Sweden’s Melodifestivalen with “My Heart is Refusing Me”, which was knocked out of the Second Chance round of the competition. A year later Loreen returned to the comeptition with “Euphoria” where she won the competition and ended up winning Eurovision 2012 in Baku. In 2017, Loreen competed in Melodifestivalen with her entry “Statements”, which unfortunately knocked out of the Second Chance round once again.

In 2023, Loreen returned to represent Sweden, whwere she competed with the song “Tattoo”, which managed to qualify for the Grand Final, and placed 1st with 583 points. Loreen won the jury vote, accruing 340 points from the jury, earning an additional 243 points from the televote. This now means Sweden matches Ireland for the record of most wins in Eurovision history.
