Melissa & Ranya’s staging involves a more interactive set, in a bit of a standout move for this year. The performers are situated in a large house projected behind them with a bed onstage as a facsimile of their respective rooms. It even includes a piano. Moving from their own spaces they meet together during their duet, full of emotion and drama.

Who are Melissa & Rayna?
Melissa and Rayna met and became friends during their time in Italy’s first edition of The Voice Kids. During some struggles in her personal life Melissa found love and passion for music. Melissa’s love for music led her to win The Voice Kids, since then her friendship with Rayna has grown stronger and they have both found success on TikTok
Melissa & Rayna were internally chosen to represent Italy at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2023 by broadcaster Rai. The girls will represent Italy with the song “Un Mondo Giusto”.
Italy’s Junior Eurovision Journey
Italy made its Junior Eurovision debut in 2014 with Vincenzo Cantiello and the song “Tu primo grande amore”. The performance scored 159 points on its way to a victory. Since winning, Italy’s best result is a 3rd place in the 2016 contest. Italy has so far participated seven times in the contest.
Italy’s most recent participation was in 2022. Chanel Dilecta’s “BLA, BLA, BLA” finished 11th with 95 points from the jury and online voters.
