After being announced as the United Kingdom’s representative for Eurovision 2024, Olly Alexander has revealed further information about his selection, as well as his entry for Malmö.
Talking about his selection and much more
Speaking with Mark Savage on BBC News, Olly revealed that he has been keeping the news that he will be the UK’s representative for two months and that he is looking forward to promoting his entry in Europe ahead of the show.
When asked about working with Danny Harle on the entry, Mark asked: ‘For people who don’t know, Danny has written with Charli XCX and Dua Lipa – so this is going to be really cutting-edge, forward-thinking pop, right?’, to which Olly answered:
That’s definitely the vibe. It’s gonna be electronic, something you can dance to. But yeah, I can’t say much more than that.
Olly also added:
I mean, it wasn’t gonna be a ballad. Or maybe it could have been a ballad. I love a ballad. Am I saying too much now?
