Eurovision in Malmö is now less than a month away. In the lead-up to the start of rehearsals, we will get to know a bit more about this year’s artists, their discography, and their Eurovision 2024 journey so far. Next up, we will preview Luxembourg’s 2024 representative, Tali.
Tali’s Eurovision Journey So Far…
Tali was selected to represent Luxembourg with “Fighter” after winning the Luxembourgish national final the Luxembourg Song Contest 2024. At the end of March, it was determined that iolanda will perform last in the first Eurovision semi-final in Malmö on May 7th.
Tali performed at two Eurovision pre-parties, these being the London Eurovision Party on April 7th, and Eurovision in Concert on April 13th.

Who is Tali?
Tali Golergant is a 23 year old Israeli-born Luxembourgish singer-songwriter with a music career stretching back to 2020. Since her first release, ‘Temporary’, she has released 9 singles
In addition to her pop career Tali has also put her vocal talents to use on the musical theatre stage. At 19 she moved to New York to get her foothold in the career, and has performed in musicals such as Les Miserables and Fiddler On The Roof.
Her 2024 Eurovision entry ‘Fighter’ was penned by a team including Dario Faini, Silvio Lisbonne, Manon Romiti, and Ana Zimmer. She won the right to represent Luxembourg following her narrow win at the innaugral Luxembourg Song Contest, and will be the country’s first entrant since 1993.
Luxembourg’s Eurovision History
Luxembourg first made its debut in the first edition of the Contest in 1956, with their first entries being “Ne crois pas” and “Les amants de minuit”, both performed by Michèle Arnaud. Since the first Contest, Luxembourg has competed a total of 37 times. Their best result was finishing in 1st place five times – in 1961, 1965, 1972, 1973 and 1983 respectively.
Luxembourg last took part in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1993, when Modern Times represented the nation with the song “Donne-moi une chance”. At the close of voting, Luxembourg finished 20th in a field of 25 with 11 points. Following this participation, Luxembourg withdrew from the Contest, but is returning to the Contest in time for 2024.
