🇮🇪 Results of Junior Eurovision Éire 2024 Show 3 revealed

Tonight Ireland has continued their search for their Junior Eurovision 2024 representative as a new episode of Junior Eurovision Éire aired. In tonight’s episode, we saw the remaining eight participants perform in the studio. After tonight’s show, the semi-finalists were revealed.

This week, the eight remaining participants sang in the studio for the second time, and we saw the participants singing Irish language covers of entries. The running order and the results of tonight’s shows are as follows:

Tonight’s show was judged by permanent judges Niamh Ní Chróinín and Tadhg Ó Gríofa, with Ireland’s Eurovision 1993 & 2010 representative Niamh Kavanagh.

The competition will run over the next two weeks, with the finale set to be on 13th October, and will be presented once again by radio host Louise Cantillon.

Ireland’s Junior Eurovision journey

Ireland first participated in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2015. Débuting alongside Australia, Ireland was represented by Aimee Banks singing ” Réalta na Mara”. At the close of voting, Ireland finished in 12th place, receiving 36 points. Ireland has since participated a further eight times. Their best placement came in 2022, when Sophie Lennon finished in fourth place with her song “Solas”.

In 2023, Jessica McKean represented Ireland in Nice with her song “Aisling”. She finished 16th in a field of 16, earning 42 points: 8 from professional juries, and 34 from the online vote.
