Klavdia, who is representing Greece and ERT at Eurovision 2025

It has been revealed that ERT is to spend over €400,000 to participate in Eurovision 2025. It comes as Klavdia prepares for her participation in the show.

ERT participation fee – broken down

Of the €402,000 ERT is reported to be paying, the vast majority of this comes down to broadcasting fees. According to To Pontiki, ERT will offer €143,000 in fees directly to the EBU to take part in the competition. An additional €59,000 is being paid to fly and house the Greek delegation in Basel. Meanwhile, the cost of renting a commentator’s booth in St. Jakobshalle is costing ERT €18,000.

The remaining €182,000 of the budget has been allocated to Klavdia and her team to help in the production of her song and staging. These fees include building the staging for “Asteromáta” and paying the delegation for their time. It comes as Klavdia continues to work on the stage show for her song. Speaking in an interview, the singer said that her stage show will be completely different to her winning Ethnikós Telikós performance. She added that she would use a prop that was now en route to Basel itself.

Greece’s Eurovision journey

In 1974, Greece made its debut to the Eurovision Song Contest with “Krasi, thalassa ke t’agori mou” which placed 11th. Since then they have participated on 44 occasions (41 of which made the Grand Final), and have won once, in 2005.

Greece’s most recent Eurovision participation saw them being represented by Marina Satti with the song “Zari”. Following her performance, Greece qualified for the Grand Final, finishing in 11th place in the Grand Final in Malmö. She earned a total of 126 points, of which 41 were from the national juries and 85 were from the televoters.
