Eurovision in Basel is less than a month away. In the lead-up to the start of rehearsals, we will get to know a bit more about this year’s artists, their discography, and their Eurovision 2025 journey so far. Next up, we will preview Greece’s Klavdia
Klavdia’s Eurovision Journey So Far
After numerous years of internally selecting their Eurovision representative, ERT opted for a National Final to select its representative for Basel, with the broadcaster holding Ethnikós Telikós on January 30, 2025, with Klavdia winning the right to represent Greece in this year’s competition. In Eurovision 2025, it has been revealed that Greece will be performing seventh on the second semi-final on May 15.
Klavdia’s song for Eurovision 2025, “Asteromáta”, was written by Klavdia herself, as well as the Arcade production group.

Who is Klavdia?
Klavdia Papadopoulou is a 22-year-old singer-songwriter from Aspropyrgos, just outside of Athens. Klavdia first gained national recognition when she competed in the Greek version of The Voice, where she reached the final but did not win. Following her stint at the competition, Klavdia released a string of songs, including one which went double platinum in her native Greece. She released her self-titled debut record in 2024.
Greece’s Eurovision Journey
In 1974, Greece made its debut to the Eurovision Song Contest with “Krasi, thalassa ke t’agori mou” which placed 11th. Since then they have participated on 44 occasions (41 of which made the Grand Final), and have won once, in 2005.
Greece’s most recent Eurovision participation saw them being represented by Marina Satti with the song “Zari”. Following her performance, Greece qualified for the Grand Final, finishing in 11th place in the Grand Final in Malmö. She earned a total of 126 points, of which 41 were from the national juries and 85 were from the televoters.
