🇮🇹 Italy to reveal Junior Eurovision 2025 act in September

Italian broadcaster Rai has confirmed that Italy’s representative for Junior Eurovision 2025 will be announced in September 2025.

When will Italy announce its JESC act?

According to Rai’s schedule, the artist and song selection will take place over the summer, with the final reveal planned for September. This timeline follows Italy’s typical approach in recent years, where their Junior Eurovision act is announced in early autumn ahead of rehearsals and staging. Fans can expect more details about the selection process and artist profile to emerge closer to that date.

Rai 2 to broadcast the show with Mario Acampa

Rai also confirmed that Rai 2 will once again broadcast Junior Eurovision 2025 live from Tbilisi on 13 December. Longtime commentator Mario Acampa will return to guide Italian viewers through the contest.

Acampa has been Italy’s familiar JESC voice since 2017, known for his engaging style and experience across Eurovision events, including the adult contest in Turin 2022.

Italy’s Junior Eurovision journey

Italy made its Junior Eurovision debut in 2014 with Vincenzo Cantiello and the song “Tu primo grande amore”. The performance scored 159 points on its way to a victory. Since winning, Italy’s best result is a 3rd place in the 2016 contest. Italy has so far participated eight times.

Italy most recently participated in 2024. Simone Grande and his song “Pigiama Party” reached ninth place after receiving 52 points from the jury and 46 from the online vote.
