Now that Eurovision has been announced to be in Vienna, the location for Euroclub was revealed in a Social media post by ORF on Instagram. Euroclub will be located in Vienna City Hall.
What is Vienna City Hall?
Vienna City Hall is in the heart of Vienna, being in the centre of the Vienna historical district on the Ringstraße. The building surrounds key landmarks, making it the crown of Vienna. This makes it a perfect spot to base Euroclub and can have Eurovision nestled into the culture and history of Vienna. The City Hall is surrounded by the Vienna Parliament, Burgtheater and the Vienna State Opera.
The building was constructed between 1872 and 1883. Vienna City Hall hosts not only governmental events but also has a festival hall being 71 m long, 20 m wide, and 18.5 m high. The festival hall hosts balls, concerts, official celebrations, and receptions. Vienna City Hall has been used to host many public events such as the Vienna Festival (Wiener Festwochen), Vienna Ice Dream (Wiener Eistraum) and the Film Festival & Summer Cinema, as examples.
What is Euroclub?
Euroclub is a more intimate environment where fans, artists and even press can mix and enjoy a smaller environment away from the bigger Eurovision areas. It gives a chance for people to grab a coffee or to de-stress, and when it becomes midnight, it becomes, as the name suggests, a club environment where people can socialise, and it gives a chance for Eurovision stars to mingle with each other and de-stress.
Deligations have also used Euroclub as a way to promote their artists further and bring artists together to perform, for example, Nordic Night, where artists from countries such as Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, and Iceland come together to perform their songs and get to know not only each other but also the Eurovision fandom. The hall can accommodate up to 1,500 people for large-scale events, such as balls, concerts, and official gatherings.
The journey to Eurovision 2026
The journey to the 2026 Eurovision Song Contest kicked off immediately following JJ’s win in Basel, when Austria’s ORF accepted the rights to host the 70th edition of the contest. The bidding process started in June, with interested cities having until July 4th to submit their bid book. Innsbruck and Vienna were shortlisted, with the latter winning the right to host next year’s contest.
As for the organisation of the competition, the ‘core team‘ was revealed in June 2025, with further details about next year’s competition to be revealed in due course. The shows will take place on May 12th, 14th and 16th.
