🇦🇱 Shkodra Elektronike release new single “Me Dashtë”

Albanian Eurovision representatives Shkodra Elektronike are back with a new single! The 2025 Eurovision Grand Finalists have this week released new song “Me Dashtë”.

About “Me Dashtë”

Eurovision 2025 alum and Albanian Folktronica icons Shkodra Elektronike have released their new single “Me Dashtë”. The track is in classic S/HE style, mixing electronic beats, synth sounds, traditional Northern Albanian folk, ethereal vocals from Beatriçe and darker rap and spoken-word from Kolë.

The post-chorus breakdown has an almost uneasy feel to it, with fast-paced synth beats keeping the listener on edge as blade sound effects and distortion layer atop Beatriçe’s vocals. The new single has a trance / Club-EDM vibe, while still keeping the alternative folktronica that fans love. The release of “Me Dashtë” comes ahead of a much anticipated album from the duo.

The new single from the Albanian duo was written by the pair themselves, with Kolë producer and mixing the track with engineer and studio support from Marcello Batelli and Giulio Rango Favero. Shkodra Elektronike are touring much of Europe throughout November 2026. For more information on tour dates and tickets, checking their social media and ticket website.

Who are Shkodra Elektronike?

Folktronica duo Shkodra Elektronike is made up of members Beatriçe Gjergji and Kolë Laca. Both Beatriçe and Kolë were born in Shkodër, in Northern Albania, before moving to Italy where they grew up and both acquired dual Albanian–Italian citizenship. The duo formed the Shkodra Elektronike project in 2019, and gained popularity in Albanian throughout the early 2020s. The core soul of the duo’s project is their aim to re-interpret traditional songs of Shkodër origin, in a contemporary, electronic style.

Shkodra Elektronike’s Eurovision journey

The duo of Shkodra Elektronike first had a taste of Festivali i Këngës (which acts as the Albanian selection for Eurovision), as songwriters in the 60th edition of the festival, ahead of the 2023 Eurovision Song Contest. The pair wrote and composed “E jemja nuse” for Rezarta Smaja, which finished in third place in that year’s festival. In Decemberber 2024, the Beatriçe and Kolë took part in FiK as performers, with the song “Zjerm”. The track won the 63rd edition of Festivali i Këngës, earning the duo the right to represent Albania at the Eurovision Song Contest in Basel.

Shkodra Elektronike perfromed “Zjerm” in the first of the Semi-Finals in Basel, and qualified to the Saturday Grand Final show. At the close of voting, the duo ultimately finished in 8th place with 218 points. 173 of these came from the televote, while the remaining 45 points came from the jury. Beatriçe returned to Festivali i Këngës for the 64rd edition of the show, again as a songwriter. The performer and songwriter composed and co-wrote the song “Okej!”, performed by Ghiti. The track would place 12th in the Final of that year’s FiK.
