Last weekend, another ‘Eurovision’ event took place. This was the twelfth edition of Eurovision Young Musicians, which took place in Montpellier in France, where 9 countries competed in this year’s edition. Out of the competing countries, Daniel Matejča of the Czech Republic won.
This is Czech Republic’s first win in a Eurovision event
Daniel Matejča’s win on this year’s Eurovision Young Musician, saw the nation score their first win in a Eurovision event, with their best result being in the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest, where they placed 6th with Mikolas Josef and “Lie To Me”. The professional jury who oversaw the competing artists and their performances were:

After winning this year’s Eurovision Young Musician, Daniel received an opportunity to perform at the 39th edition of the Festival Radio France Occitanie Montpellier which will take place between the 15th-30th July in 2023, where he will perform in a professional context.
