Last night, Eurovision stars won big at the 2023 MTV European Music Awards.
In total, three Eurovision stars won an award. This includes Måneskin (Italy 2021), who took home Best Rock Act and Best Italian Act. Käärijä (Finland 2023) took home the best Nordic act and Gjon’s Tears (Switzerland 2021) took home the best Swiss act award.
While three Eurovision acts took home awards, a plethora of others received nominations. In addition to their two awards, Måneskin were nominated for Best Group (although this award was cancelled) and Best Live. The best Nordic act saw nominations for three Eurovision 2023 stars, with Käärijä (Finland) taking home the award and Loreen (Sweden) and Alessandra (Norway) receiving nominations. Israel’s Noa Kirel also received a nomination for the best Israeli act. S10 (Netherlands 2022) was nominated for the best Dutch act. Sam Ryder (UK 2022) was nominated for the Best Push award.
