🇸🇪 Five more artists rumoured to participate at Melodifestivalen 2025

Whilst Swedish broadcaster SVT finalizes the list of artists participating in their Eurovision 2025 selection, Melodifestivalen, the rumors regarding who will be participating in the 65th edition of the competition continue to be reported. This time Björn Holmgren, KAJ, Arwin, Angelino & Kristofer Greczula are the latest artists to be reported as part of the line-up, as reported by Aftonbladet.

Björn Holmgren

The first artist in this round-up is a newcomer to the competition in the form of Björn Holmgren, who topped the Swedish charts in 2022 with “Ut Med Allt”, which, at the time of writing has over 13 million streams on Spotify. Bjorn has released numerous singles since 2022, including the EP “Brev Some Inte Lämnat Brodet”

KAJ

The next act in this round-up is another newcomer in the form of KAJ, a Finnish-Swedish humor group, that was formed in Finland and consists of a trio in the form of Kevin Holmström, Axel Åhman, and Jakob Norrgård. In Finland, KAJ has released seven studio albums and has performed in two musicals, with the group now setting its sights on Sweden.

Arwin

The third act in this round-up is Arwin, who was put into the spotlight via TikTok and has released a few singles since 2023, including “För Bra För Att Vara Sant”, which is currently his most streamed track to date. Arwin has performed all over Sweden during the summer, as well as performing at the RIXFM Festival and Rockbjörnen.

Angelino

The penultimate artist in this round-up is Angelino, who made their debut at Melodifesitvalen in 2022. He competed with “The End”, which did not advance further in the competition. Since taking part in 2022, Angelino has released a few singles with “Athena“, which was released in the summer being the latest.

Kristofer Greczula

Finishing off this round-up is a newcomer in the form of Kristofer Greczula, who has performed in ‘Grammis Gala’ and ‘Allsång på Skansen’, and has released music for numerous years, including the album “Live and Let Live” in 2022.

Who is currently rumored to participate in Melodifestivalen 2025?

As reported by Swedish media for the past few weeks, the artists that could potentially be competing at next year’s competition are as follows:

SVT is set to reveal the 30 artists participating in the competition before the year’s end.

Sweden’s Eurovision Journey

In 1958, Sweden made their debut in the Eurovision Song Contest, with Alice Babs representing them with the song “Lilla stjärna” which placed fourth. Since their debut, the Scandinavian nation has managed to win seven times (1974, 1984, 1991, 1999, 2012, 2015 and 2023).

In 2024, Marcus and Martinus represented Sweden on home soil. As the host entry, their song “Unforgettable” did not need to compete in the semi-finals. At the close of voting in the grand final, they had received 174 points. 125 points were received by the juries, while the twins received 49 points by televoters.
