As the year draws to a close, more and more countries continue to reveal if they are participating in Eurovision Young Musicians 2024. The next country to reveal if they are participating is France.
This will be France’s 11th participation
France’s participation in the 21st edition of the competition was revealed by France Télévisions to Eurovoix. At the time of writing, it is yet to reveal how they will be selecting their representative for next year’s competition.
What we know about Eurovision Young Musicians 2024
Earlier in the year, it has been revealed that Norwegian broadcaster NRK and the city of Bodø will be the hosts of the 21st edition of Eurovision Young Musicians, which will take place on Stromen Concert Hall on the 17th August 2024.
At the time of writing, the following countries have revealed their intention to participate
- Czechia
- France
- Norway (Host Country)
- Slovenia
France’s Eurovision Young Musicians Journey
France was one of the countries to participate in the inaugural edition of Eurovision Young Musicians in 1982, with its representative Paul Meyer placing 2nd. Since then, it has participated 10 times in the competition, including a win in 1986. Their recent participation saw them being represented by Maxime Grizard with the Violin.
