Armenian broadcaster AMPTV has officially confirmed Armenia’s participation in Junior Eurovision 2025, and announced that the country will select its entry via a national final. The submission window opened on 7 July and will remain open until 10 August 2025

Two-stage selection: submissions and auditions

  • Open to Armenian citizens or residents born between 14 December 2010 and 13 December 2016.
  • Both soloists and groups (up to six members) may apply.
  • Applicants must submit video performances of two well-known songs.

Live auditions are expected from 13 August 2025 to 22 August 2025. A professional jury and focus group will evaluate the shortlisted acts to choose the final representative

Following that, the creative team will work on the official song and staging ahead of the 13 December Grand Final in Tbilisi.

Armenia’s Junior Eurovision journey

Armenia is one of the most successful countries in Junior Eurovision. The Caucasian nation first took part in 2007 and finished in second place, with “Erazanq” performed by Arevik. Following this, Armenia has scored eleven top-five results – including two wins in 2010, when Vladimir Arzumunyan triumphed in Minsk with his song “Mama”. They won the contest again in 2021, in Paris. When Maléna represented them with her song “Qami, Qami”

Leo Mkrtchyan, or Leo, represented Armenia in 2024 with his song “Cosmic Friend”. Ultimately achieving eighth place overall, he received 76 points from the jury and 49 from the online vote.
