🇺🇦 The Elliens – “пекло”
The Elliens participated in Ukraine’s Vidbir this year with the song “Crawling Whispers”, with lead singer Olena Usenko having represented Ukraine at Junior Eurovision in 2021. The band are an alt-rock/ folk-rock / indie outfit that make big songs, and this latest single is no different. “пекло” (hell) is bold, loud and raw and Usenko seems to have found her home with these classic rock vocals. Their music is always exciting, and “пекло” is much the same.
2025 national final artists
🇱🇹 Joseph June – “Saldu”
Joseph June has become somewhat of a staple in Lithuanian national finals over recent years, making an appearance most recently in Eurovizija.LT 2025 with the track “Ko man nesakei?”. His new single “Saldu” is an indie electronic disco vibe, equally modern and retro.
🇭🇷 Luka Nižetić – “Refule”
4-time DORA participant (“Robot” 2003, “Proljeće” 2005, “Brutalero” 2019, “Južina”, 2025) Luka Nižetić is back with new single “Refule”. The track is a collaboration with Croatian rock perfumer Neno Belan, and is a pleasant folk-y, trumpet indie-rock song.
🇺🇦 Yagody – “Багато неба – хочеться ще більше”
Ukrainian folk/rap band Yagody have twice entered Ukraine’s national final Vidbir, coming 5th in 2024 with the song “Tsunamia”. The band entered the selection process again in 2025, but failed to make it out of the qualifying rounds with their song “BramaYa”. Both of these songs feature on their new full length record “Багато неба – хочеться ще більше” alongside new songs, poetry and musical interludes. The band are an interesting blend of Ukrainian folk and current music trends, in the way that Ukrainian music seems to always do so well. They are sure to feature in future conversations about Ukraine in Eurovision.
