🇱🇹 Monika LIU – “Å eÅ¡Ä—liai Lange”
Lithuanian disco-pop singer Monika LIU hasn’t released much music in the last two years, but this week the “Sentimentai” singer dropped an entire album of wonderful songs. The album is a collaboration with multi-member Lithuanian musical group Los Secretos de Pablo, who blend latin inspired rhythms with Lithuanian folk and pop music. Title track “Å eÅ¡Ä—liai Lange” (Shadows in the Window) sees Monika collaborate with award winning Lithuanian folk-pop singer and comedian Å ventinis bankuchenas.
The project reimagines classic Lithuanian variety and Estrada songs from past decades, and blends the songs with Latin American rhythms and energy. Monika said of the project on Instagram “When you begin to delve into the old Lithuanian pop-up, you realize how incredibly rich the music, melodies and lyrics are. So we tried to approach [them] in our own way, but with great respect and to let those songs continue through different generations!”. This is an exciting and fun project from Lithuania’s 2022 Eurovision representative Monika LIU.
🇸🇪 Sanna Nielsen – “What Love Is”
Sanna Nielsen is a legend amongst Melodifestivalen fans, and indeed in the Swedish music scene. She represented the country at Eurovision in 2014, with her big vocal ballad “Undo”. The singer has also competed in eight editions of Mello so far, most recently with “Waste Your Love” after being inducted into the Mello Hall of Fame this past year. The latest release from Sanna is new single “What Love Is”. The track is joined by her Mello entry “Waste Your Love” and recent Berlinda Carlisle cover “Heaven Is a Place on Earth”. All three tracks show off exactly why Sanna Nielsen is both a Melodifestivalen, and Eurovision legend.
🇦🇺 Kate Miller-Heidke – “The Kiss And The Abyss” & Netflix’s My Brilliant Career soundtrack
A busy week for Australia’s 2019 Eurovision representative Kate Miller-Heidke. The “Zero Gravity” singer has two different features on this list this week. The first of which is the long awaited release of her newest album “The Kiss And The Abyss”. Kate had been releasing singles from the album in recent weeks but now the full length album is here! And it’s a joy. Her second inclusion on this list is as part of Netflix’s My Brilliant Career soundtrack, with two of her songs, “Siren (Never Let You Go)” and “Horses” featuring in the new program.
🇦🇿 Ä°lkin DövlÉ™tov – “Saçlarına Gül Düzüm”
Ä°lkin DövlÉ™tov accompanied Fahree on the song “ÖzünlÉ™ apar” for Azerbaijan at the Contest in Malmö. The pair failed to qualify from the first semi-final of the contest, but both have gone on to have relative success within Azerbaijan independently of each other. Latest single from DövlÉ™tov is big electro-folk-pop track “Saçlarına Gül Düzüm”. The bass track on this is pretty intense, with Ä°lkin’s vocal performance shining as ever.
🇦🇲 Iveta Mukuchyan – “Siro Oscar”
Iveta Mukuchyan became somewhat of a fan favourite in Eurovision circles when she placed 7th in the Contest in Stockholm with the song “LoveWave”. She has gone on to have a long career in both Armenia and Germany, where she lives. In 2017, she collaborated with fellow Armenian Eurovision entrant Aram Mp3 on “Dashterov”, which went on to win Song Of The Year in Armenia. In 2022, she hosted the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, held in Yerevan. She also featured in the music video for Simón’s 2026 Eurovision entry “Paloma Rumba”. The latest release from Iveta is new single “Siro Oscar”. The track is a sultry, soulful song, featuring elements of both jazz and R&B. It truly is a beautiful track from the Armenian artist.
🇩🇪 Max Mutzke – “Tumblin’ Dice”
It has only been a matter of months since German singer Max Mutzke appeared on the Eurovision stage, taking part in the 70th anniversary interval act at the Contest in Vienna in May. The singer is probably most known amongst eurofans for his 2004 song “Can’t Wait Until Tonight” which placed 8th at the Contest in Istanbul. The singer tried to represent Germany once again in 2024 with the song “Forever Strong”, coming second in the national final and losing out to eventual ESC participant Isaak. Mutzke, however, is back with a bang. His latest single “Tumblin’ Dice” is a vibey, reggae pop song written by Max and Justin Balk.
🇦🇿 Dilara Kazimova – “Pul”
Azerbaijan were represented by Dilara at the Song Contest back in 2014, with the big piano ballad “Start a Fire”. The track eventually placed 22nd Place in the Grand Final. Dilara has been busy since then however, recently an array of different singles and collaborations. The latest release from Kazimova comes in the form of “Pul”, a collaboration with Azeri rapper RÉ™him RÉ™himli. It’s an intriguing sound, and today Dilara has released a solo version of the track. It’s folky, dancey, bassy, and almost impossible to sit still while listening.
🇮🇸 SÃsý Ey (Systur) – “Up Close”
Iceland’s 2022 Eurovision performers Systur placed 23rd at the Contest in Turin, with “Með hækkandi sól”. The three sisters are also part of musical project SÃsý Ey, alongside Icelandic DJ and producer DJ Friðfinnur “Oculus” Sigurðsson. Together, Sigurðsson and the sisters create banging house music, a far cry from their Eurovision entry. “Up Close” is no different, this track is a big house track fit for a beach club or late night party. If you listen to this thinking you’ll hear something similar to “Með hækkandi sól”, you will be incredibly shocked.
🇦🇲 Sirusho – “Gangur Varser”
Eurovision 2008 fan favourite Sirusho is back! The Armenian singer placed 4th at the Contest in Belgrade with her hit “Qélé, Qélé”, and hasn’t been hugely active in new music in recent years. For the singers first release of 2026, Sirusho brings us new song “Gangur Varser”. The song is a electro-folk dance track, with a catchy chorus and a great beat. The outro of this song is really fun and joyful.
